The "Taal Volcano" Tricycle,Boat Ride,Horse Backriding and the Crater.

December 24, 2012 with my three closest friends I decided to spend our Christmas Eve at Cavite Alfonso in our friend's house (ESKAPO member). We came up to a plan of spending the whole day in Tagaytay exploring the tourist spot in there. It was a good timing since it was the best season of Tagaytay. The cold breeze on a sunny day that is how  i described the weather when we were there. The plan was to go to Picnic Grove and eat bulalo in - TAPSILOGAN our favorite "bulaluhan". And we never thought that there's an adventure waiting for us.

We had breakfast at Mcdonald's ( Josh, Me and Alynna ESKAPO MOUNTAINEERS)

Behind Mcdonald's is a Bus Terminal(EDSA MRT Station)

During that day the bus terminal was busy because people living in the Southern Luzon were rushing to get to their love one's on Christmas Eve. We were lucky to get on first.....

From Pasay to Olivarez. It was a great cold but sunny morning in Tagaytay.

We headed to Picnic Grove ( Take a jeep for 8php or tricycle for 20php each)

Picnic Grove is one of the most visited places  in Tagaytay. This is the best place for a "picnic" overlooking the view of "Taal Lake and "Taal Volcano". They said if you will not visit this your Tagaytay experience is not complete. It also offers horseback riding, biking , kiting, zip line etc.

The entrance is 50Php December 2012. I was here September 2013 and the entrance fee is still the same.

First stop was "The Fish Spa"

Mossy Trees....

The Bridge going to the Picnic Area..

The Picnic Area at Picnic Grove ( Taal Lake and Taal Volcano)

When I was standing here and starring at Taal lake, I wondered how is the scenery from there. I was totally enticed with the beauty of it.  There was a sort of curiosity and excitement to visit the Taal Volcano soon. I understand why many tourists visits Tagatay.

We went back to Olivarez to meet another friend " Jennifer" and to take lunch as well. - Mang Inasal

BUSOLVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After lunch we were arguing where we would go next.Options were Paradizoo, Pink Sister , Puzzle Mansion and Bulalohan but I suggested "Taal Volcano". Jennifer said "Sige Rye sa Taal tayo". I went outside and bargained with the "tricycle driver" who was offering a tour package in Taal Volcano. We agreed for P3000 for 4pax including tricycle back and forth, boat ride, horseback riding to Taal and the guide fee.

To get to the Resort it was 6km tricycle ride from Olivarez to Talisay Batangas.

Tagaytay is at 2100 MASL and to get to the shore of the lake it takes a non-stop and more or less 30 minutes tricycle ride from Olivarez to Talisay.

Resort in Talisay Batangas.

The temperature in Talisay Batangas is totally opposite of the temperature in Tagaytay.

There was a briefing about safety and the tricycle driver shared the history of Taal Volcano.

The 30 minutes boat ride in Taal Lake..

This was my first boat ride experience and i was really excited about this. I just loved how the waves swayed us. There were big waves hitting our boat and every time a big wave comes towards us we would shout and laughed after we got soaked with water.Memorable!! And here's the catch we were avoiding to get wet because we did not have extra clothes.

Foot of Taal Volcano. When we stepped to the shore of Taal. I was surprised because i thought no one lives in Taal Volcano but there was a big community residing here.  There's Barangay Hall, small palengke , sari sari store, there's electricity as well i guess run by a generator or solar powered electricity and its like a small island with residents living.

After registration to Barangay Hall. There's so many vendors waitng for tourist at the shore. Parang Artista kame ng pag dateng dahil sinusugod nila bawat bumababa to offer their products.
